WELCOME TO MY TABLE

This is a place where stories simmer slowly and recipes are passed with love. Where the clatter of the kitchen meets the quiet reflections of everyday life.

I write about food, but really—I write about connection. About grief and generosity. About the sacredness of the ordinary and the joy of feeding one another, body and soul.

You’ll find essays and short stories that linger

like scent on the wind, recipes that carry a memory, and a shared table that’s always set for one more.

Pull up a chair. There’s something here for you.

Taste of Place - A Short Novel Inspired By True Events

A fictional novel with non-fictional recipes, Taste of Place blurs the line between imagination and memory—inviting readers to journey through a world where every chapter ends at the table. The recipes are real, drawn from my own kitchen, grounding each chapter in flavors that can be re-created and shared.

Savor the connection, where soulful storytelling and seasonal recipes bring us back to the table- and back to ourselves…

This is a story about foraging, freedom, and the kind of meals that stick in your memory like sharp cheddar on grilled sourdough.

It ends with a potato leek gratin made from the soil up.

It begins with a cabin, some rain, and the wild joy of cooking what you’ve gathered.

Come read the story, feel the rain, and maybe make the gratin.

It wasn’t a feast. There was no set table, no recipes passed down on paper. Just a fire, a bucket, and the hush that falls over a shoreline as the sun hangs low. But somehow, that night became a map I’ve carried ever since—drawn in salt and steam and laughter.

Because in the right moment, taste becomes something more—an echo of the people and places that shape us.

This is one of those flavors that stayed.

Kindness still lives in the kitchen

Remember when you could call next door to borrow an egg? A cup of sugar? A stick of butter? Not because the grocery store was too far, but because your neighbor was closer—and it felt good to rely on one another. If so, this story is for you.
